Why does it take so long to copy a file to a local drive over a remote dial-up? I realize the transfer rate is affected by modem speed, line condition, etc., but I find that even small documents take an extremely long time. Any help out there?

I think you've answered your own question. If you're using a standard telephone line, copying files locally is going to take ages - even for quite small files.

Upgrading to broadband will help, but it's something Terminal Services was never designed for. You may find that ftp'ing the files would be quicker.

I hope this helps CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk
