Copy DTS & Jobs..? 2

Hi all,

How can I copy all my local DTS-packages and all my Jobs from my old server to my new one?

Open each DTS package and Save As and change the destination servers. Or you can save all packages Structured Storage File. Then open the file from your new server and save SQL Server. Jobs you can script out and execute on QE.

If both servers are the same sp and patch level you can backup the msdb database and restore it to the new server.

All DTS packages and jobs are stored within the msdb database.

If you still having issues let me know. Also If you have a lot of tasks it might be tedious, I got an app that you can trasnfer from one server to other.
