I have a database that is split into a front-end and back-end and everything has been working quite well for a while now. A customer has now requested that we modify it to store the data in a Microsoft SQL database.

I have never used Microsoft SQL before, so this is going to be a learning experience for me. I want to continue using the same front-end because it has a lot of functinality embedded (and has already been tested :-)).

Can anybody give me some insight into the process of converting the back-end, what to expect, and how time consuming this process will be?

I appreciate whatever insight you can provide. I would prefer going into this knowing what to expect. Thank you.

Thanks for the info. I think that it will prove to be helpful. It has some links to other pages describing some of the potential pitfalls as well.
