I'm trying to convert a PDF to a word document so that I can edit it and then create the PDF again. Whenever I try to save the document into a different format I get the error message:

"Bad PDF; could not read page strucutre (bad page contents).[1]"

I have tried to save it into a number of formats (*txt, *rtf, *html) but keep getting the error.

Does anyone know how I can get around this? Is there something on the page I need to change before I can save it?

Thanks

I don't know about V6, but in V5 this is how you would copy all text in a PDF file using the Save As command:
1 With the PDF file open, choose File > Save As.
2 In the Save As dialog box, select the location in which to save the file, choose Rich Text
Format from the Save as Type (Windows) or Show (Mac OS) menu, and enter a name for
the file in the filename text box.
3 Click Save.
4 Open the RTF file in your target application.
Note: Any images in the file are discarded.

Of course all layout formatting would be lost, but then that's what happens when you try to go backwards from a PDF to the authoring publication. After making your edits, you would then need to remake the PDF.

Are there any graphics in the PDF?
