Hi all, I have a column in Excel spreedsheet that has dates formatted to YYYYMMDD. We now would to format them to MM/DD/YYYY.

I've been looking around in the excel under the format options, but I do not see anything useful. I'm assuming some format code will quickly convert? I understand the basics of formating data in VB, but I'm not sure where/how to start this? Any help please!

Found answer on another site:

Select the column with the dates.

Goto Data>Text to columns...

On the 3rd step chose Date for Column data format and YMD from the dropdown.

You should now have real date values, which can be formatted however you like.
