Convert Y & N to Yes and No 1

I am new to Crystal (Ver XI) and this is probably a simple question (sorry.)

Pulling data from SQL 05.
Table "Program_dates" field "Confirmed" currently shows "Y" & "N" I need to view it as "Yes" or "No" I thought I could use a Boolean but I’m having no luck. Thanks in advance for the help.

You could just create a formula
@YN
SELECT UpperCase( {Program_dates.Confirmed} )
CASE "Y" : "Yes"
CASE "N" : "No"
Default : "Unknown"

Place this formula on the report in place of the {Program_dates.Confirmed} field.

Try:

if isnull({table.field})
or
trim({table.field}) = "" then
"N/A"
else if {table.date} = "Y" then
"Yes"
else if {table.date} = "N" then
"Yes"

This is a guess because the most critical part is what data type is it? You can right click it and select browse data, which will tell you what Crystal sees it as.
