Is there anyway to convert a word doc with color images to black and white?

would be simpler to print it in black and white.

Otherwise you'll have to edit the images and convert them in photoshop or similar.

Word doesn't offer this function AFAIK

Thanks

When you click (once) on a picture in Word, it displays a Picture toolbox.
One of the buttons (second left on mine) you can click and select grayscale or black and white.

You could also do this with a macro.

If the reason you want to convert pictures to B/W is the size, you have another possibility:
In the Save as dialog, on the upper right, there is the tools menu. One of the options in this menu is 'Compress Pictures'.

Hope that helps.
