Is there a way to convert Unix time in seconds to a regular format?

Time in Seconds: 1118875557

Time in UTC: 6/3/2005 8:06:23 PM

In what application?

Is your example valid? That is, does 1118875557 seconds = 6/3/2005 8:06:23 PM? ( I find that hard to believe, as the number of seconds gives a number of whole minutes and 57 seconds?!?!?! )

And does 6/3/2005 mean 6th March or 3rd June?

Do you know the base date that Unix uses for its dates?

Cheers, Glenn.

Did you hear about the literalist show-jumper? He broke his nose jumping against the clock.

Hi Montano,

This does not produce the same answer as you do but I believe it is correct (for a Unix time in cell A1):
[blue][tt] =A1/86400+DATEVALUE("1/1/70")[/tt][/blue]

Enjoy,
Tony
