Hi, there

I want to convert a pdf to word, so I can modify the file. How can I do that?

Thanks a lot !!

Cheers

Use the keyword search of this forum, using 'any date' to search for PDF

Thank you, I made it!

Will you share what you found?

Jenny - no it isn't all that easy to convert a PDF to a Word file, even with the full version of Acrobat (which is irrelevant, since you can do it with just the free Reader in the same way). You can make some minor modifications to a PDF if you have Acrobat, but it certainly doesn't make it any easier to get the text into Word. It's still a copy and paste job.

Hey, I do this all the time at work using an adobe acrobat plugin called Magellan by BC computers. If you go to the Adobe Acrobat home page you can find plugin links. Its usually different companys that provide the plugins. There is always a cost. Once you load the plucgin you can convert PDF to Word.

Hi Eggles,

Have a star on me!

I never realised that it was possible to cut and paste with just the Acrobat Reader.

This has to be the tip of the week for me!

I had the same problem before as my training participants would ask me that. I have researched though, that there are softwares that you can use to convert pdf to word. Try "BCL Drake 5.0". It's going to be installed directly to Adobe Acrobat but its not going to work with Acrobat Reader or Distiller. You can get this from Download.com

Good luck! [afro]

In Acrobat 5 (full), you can "Save As..." rtf. Not from Reader though.

You'd need to do some reformatting.
