Hello - A user relocated and is now using a VoIP phone that is twinned with her digital (still in the main office). I need to use her digital phone and port for a different user. Any help is appreciated.

Delete the extension on the digital port and change the ip extension with that extension.

Log off the ipphone and enter the right extension.

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

Thanks for the response tlpeter. I guess I was hoping to use the digital extension for a new user and not have to delete it. I have not been able to add a digital extension. When adding an extension my only option is to add a VoIP. I just took over this system and am trying to figure it out. Thanks for the help.

Just change the number of the digital extension in the extension section of Manager to be a different number or if the number is fine as is just untwin them and rename the user assoiated with the Digital set, no need for any deleting :)

Great. Thank you. Now after working this through. I have a better understanding of what needs to be done.
1. The VoIP phone needs the extension of the digital phone it is currently being twinned with (ext. 20).
2. Once the VoIP phone is the only phone with ext. 20, I am then hoping to use the port on the the phone server that ext. 20 has been using for a different extension.
Sorry I wasn't clear. Hopefully this makes more sense.

Go to Extensions, find 20, and change it to something else. Merge it back. Go to the actual phone, which will still show Ext. 20, press *36 to log it out, and it will become the new number you made it (with "No User" if you didn't create a matching user). Now go to the VoIP phone, and log it in as Ext. 20.

Indeed, you can renumber the ports as you like in the extension section of Manager, after having done so you need to change the number is the User section of Manager to make the two tally (if required), then you can either do as Tommy said above or let the system do an "Immediate" reboot and it will swap them for you :)
