I am printing a report that has many memo field components sprinkled in with other sets of related responses, both text and graphics.
My problem is I get inappropriate page-breaks, because I don't know how long the previous text entries are.
Is there some way I can group a few related area's together and have a pagebreak occur if the entire 'group' can not be printed on one page, but no pagebreak if they do fit?

Did you look at sorting And Grouping under the View Menu
You can specify Page breaks before or after each group
Experiment with it to see which you like.
DougP
dposton@universal1.com

Hi Doug,
Thanks, but I have already tried that, this is not a group as defined by access, it is sort of a subgroup of questions within the detail of the main report.
I was trying to avoid sub-reports, I already have about 20 subreports in this main report, and I am trying to simplify the design (ROFL)...
I am looking for some sort of 'group together' functionality like you find in graphics packages. Does that spark any other ideas?

you could try creating a string that concatenates the various memo fields:
1) create an unbound text box
2) control source =[messymemofield1]&" "&[messymemofield2]&....
(you might want to play around with the spacing, depending upon the contents of the fields)

3) set the text box to "can grow"

you might also consider using columns which might make the appearance more pleasing to the eye (text would flow up and down and people wouldn't be as aware of "orphan" text)
