Hi, I have been having a problem with my control panel settings. My color is staying on 26 bit. When I go into the control panel to change the setting, it allows me to do so. I change the setting, hit apply, the computer restarts and the when the screen comes on again, the color has reverted back to the 16 bit. Does anybody have any idea about how to fix this??

Are you sure you have the correct drivers installed? Does your card support higher than 16 bit colour?

Try right clicking in an empty space on the desktop, got to properties. Clcik on the settings tab in the new window, then Advanced. Under the general tab you should have three options down the bottom. Select the apply new colour settings without restarting. Change the colour to what you want then try apply and see what happens.

I think it might be a driver problem though, so try and get hold of the latest video drivers from the manufacturers website (in device manager go to Display Adaptors and it should say what it is there).

Hope that's of some use to ya! :-)
