control panel icons missing 1

Hi,

I have an NT server with SP6. I have just noticed that three icons are misiing from the control panel:

Devices
Server
Services

How do I get these icons back? Any help appreciated.

sounds like srvmgr.cpl is missing or disabled. See if you can find it in \winnt\system32. If its there get tweakui -

http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/PowerToys/Networking/NTTweakUI.asp

- use control panel tab to tick box & restore it (there will be a registry edit to do this, but I prefer not to edit registry direct when I can avoid it). If its not there, get a copy from elsewhere & copy it there.

Hi Wolluf,

I have just come back from copying the srvmgr.cpl from another server and all 3 icons are now back and working correctly in control panel. Thanks.
