I have several PRI Tie line from Option 81c to CISCO. I was wondering if there a way to prevent a continuous loop on the M1. If so, how.

This is the only reference that I could find on this topic,

MCDN ICCL – ISDN Call Connection Limitation. Limits the number of hops to a defined transit counter to prevent the creation of a continuous loop.

But, MCDN is used only if I TIE a Norstar/BCM to M1.

Thanks in advance,

i don't know of one.. we watch for 5132 codes and remove those dsc's until they reuse the number.. seems they could send vacant numbers to anything except the same loop they came from.. i don't have routing access to the bcm here. if they are programed right, that would not be a problem.. the kids here that do network know about as much about tele as i do about space science.. (or less)
