Here's a little lazy dog for the GCU2
GCU led's codes
* green : MCCL
* green : RCCL
* green : ACCL
* red : CCA
* red : ICA
* yellow : FRSY receiving (flashing)
Display codes:
E1 : multiple GCU masters
E2 : IGLD communication fault
E3 : IGMC communication fault
E4 : 8khz sync faulty
E5 : clock unit function on GCU2 faulty
E6 : clock source faulty
E9 : Memory fault
Upper decimal point, synchronization function status:
* off : slave
* on : master (ordered by LIM)
* flash : interim master (chosen by GCU2's)
Lower decimal point, synchronization receive status:
* off : not synchronized
* on : synchronized
* flash : synchronization function deactivated
Let's look at Your systems:
Alarm on GCU2 GS system 1 flashing between 1-0 and E-6
indicator on board ,
E6 indicates clock source faulty
MCCL * green liighted
RCCL * off
ACCL * off
CCA * red lighted
ICA * Red lighted
FRGY * off
RCCL and ACCL is missing, this generates a
CCA (Clock Control) alarm.
FRSY is off, This means that That the GSM is
not receiving sync from any LIM. If this is the
master GSM thats bad business, Your Group switch
is free running, that's why You get the ICA (Internal clock)
alarm.
First do an SCICI with parameters MCCL, RCCL and ACCL
to set complete sync. Then wait a little bit to see if
the alarm dissapears.
Otherwise You probably have a bad GJUG card.
Alarm on GCU2 Gs system 2 flashing between 1-0 and E-5
indicator on board,
MCCL * green lighted
RCCL * green lighted
ACCL * green lighted
CCA * off
ICA * Red lighted
FRGY * yellow flashing led
This one is a little bit trickier, Everything looks OK
except for the E5 and the ICA alarm.
My guess is that the master LIM is clocking a little
bit to fast/slow for the GCU2. You probably also have
slip alarms.
If You just upgraded You have probably changed some HW.
What happens with the clock cards is that they get 'trained'
for the environment in which they are 'living'. That means
that in master mode (like Your GCU2) they will only adjust
so much per time interval. In severe cases it can take up
to 48 hrs before a clock card is trained.
If You have waited longer You may want to change the
GCU2 card or the LSU card in the master LIM.
