I have posted a couple of times here about my cisco 2811 router. I have two Point to Point T1 lines coming into the router. Both T1s are provided by the same local company. The T1 connected to serial0/1/0 has not had any issues. It has been solid for a couple of months now. The T1 going into serial0/0/0 has been unstable since day one. There is another 2811 router on the other end. Poblems started with the other router, but i got the conrrect cable installed and now it is good to go. Now, the router at our main office is having problems. It will stay up with no problems for about 3-4 hours and then go down for 2. When it is down and i do s show interfaces command, this is what i get;
Serial0/0/0 is down, line protocol is down
Hardware is GT96K with integrated T1 CSU/DSU
Description:
Internet address is 172.16.10.1/30

Available Bandwidth 1152 kilobits/sec
5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
5 minute output rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
22027 packets input, 557088 bytes, 0 no buffer
Received 21316 broadcasts, 0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
45 input errors, 45 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored, 0 abort
5258468 packets output, 556134544 bytes, 0 underruns
0 output errors, 0 collisions, 7132 interface resets
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out
52 carrier transitions
DCD=down DSR=up DTR=up RTS=up CTS=down
The cable is physicaly plugged into the router. I have talked to the company that provides the T1 and they say all of their equipment is fine.
Is this a problem with my router? Could the WIC card be bad? If the WIC card is bad, wouldnt it not work at all? I am not sure where to go with this. any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
