ContactStore which OS?

OK, I need some help, on the Knowledgebase it shows ContactStore can be installed on XP-Pro,Vista, Windows 7 or on Windows server software. However in the IPOffice 6.0 Matix only the Windows server software or Vista 64 are supported. So what is the real deal?

I suggest using server software.
Voicemail pro and contactstore should not be under estimated by using a desktop with desktop OS.

tlpeter thanks for the recommendation.
But most of the time I can't influence the design or configuration before the sale.
I just need to know which OS is supported so I am not spinning my wheels on an install.
At least then I can send it back to the design or sales team, when they sell it wrong.

Also any other recommendations are welcome.

CS is supported on XP --> WS2K8

I have CS and VM Pro installed on WS2k8 x64 and works fine

the "supported" OSes are 32bit.

I have checked the ipo matrix and it is only supported on

Vista 64bit PRo or ultimate
Server 2003 32bit
Server 2008 32bit

But the instalation doc says:
XP
Vista
Server 2003
Server 2008

So if you want to be save then use:

Server 2003 or Server 2008.
