Outlook 2002...
I have about 10 "Steve" in my contacts and when I did the search for (look in feature (toolbar)) "Steve", only about 3 or 4 come up...strange. Same thing with "Julie", have about a couple of her too...only a few came up. Have one of "Boris"...did not come up. I was assuming it was a corrupt contacts list. First I backed up contacts as a csv file. Removed OAB, readded OAB. Closed out of Outlook. Restarted It...still same issue. I heard of a few tips out on the net of "re indexing" contacts, but don't know how to do that. If any of you know how to reindex or solve my problem....you will not be forgotten!

Thanks

Thanks...actually I should have mentioned I already tried that. I also did all of the product updates (latest sp and patches installed), still no luck. Once again removed oab and added it...no luck.
Its funny because their is a contact in there name "derri's" With Outlook's search feature, it didn't even pull that entry up!
Another thing I tried was exporting his contacts, and pulling it up on another PC. THe error message I got is saying the contacts is a corrupted file. I don't want to have the user retype in all of his contacts cause there are about 500 or so!
So now I have pretty much ruled out the fact that Outlook has nothing to do with it and now its the contacts file that is corrupt. I need a fix or directions on how to rebuild the contacts asap!!!

Thanks!
