Contacts from Child Domain missing from GAL/GAB

I have two domains, parent and child. I have a single Exchange 2003 server in the parent domain. All of a sudden, some contacts from the child domain do not show up in my Global Address book. Their mailboxes still exist and I can send email by typing in their full email addresses.... but they don't show up in GAL. Any suggestions ?
