Contacts folder

Hi I have an issue that I cant troubleshoot. I have an Outlook 2003. When I send a new email or respond to an existing email and I try to insert someone from my Contacts list the following error shows:

"The address list could not be displayed.The Contacts folder associated with the address list could not be open:it may have been moved or deleted,or you do not have permissions"

Now if I open the Contacts folder, all my contacts are there. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this? Thank you in advance for helping....

you might also have to modify the settings in the address book, under tools->options you may need to change the lookup order or add-in the outlook address book service to the list.
