contact store install

Hi running the setup for constact store, runs through then right at the end hangs, have tried reboot of server etc but nothing works, to then uninstall I have to run through the uninstall which doesnt remove completley so have to go into regedit to manual remove before it allows me to run install again, any ideas? windows 7 profssional
 
Do you have UAC disabled? Windows 7, last I read, was not "supported" for that type of install. Doesn't mean it cannot work though.

It works on W7.
Don´t forget to remove Witness folder for a re-installation.

Check CS installation Manual available at KB.
 
hi both disable uac and deleted the witness folder on reattempt

installation runs but gets to a point where its deleting install files etc then just hangs, not getting a'no response' message etc but have to use task manager to close down then back to square one!
 
Ouch; cannot say I've run into that. Anything in the event log? You're logged in as an admin user, right?

it is an admin account yes, but ive had it before where you have to be a root admin to install?

will check event log now
 
hi appeared to have been either a firewall or the admin account, on windows 7 the root admin is disabled, enabled it stopped the firewall and it installed
