Hi

When I create a new message in outlook or go to my address book I get a message that says:

"The address list could not be displayed, the contacts folder associated with this address list could not be openend: it may have been moved or deleted, or you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove this folder from the Outlook address book see microdoft outlook help"

I also have no names displayed. I ahve tried the help and it told me to go to tools options from within the address book. I did try this and tried to remove and add contact lists but it did not work. If I go to contacts in the outlook bar all of my contacts are displayed. How do I get them to appear in the address book?

THanks

Try right-clicking the Outlook contacts folder and select properties. Click the "Outlook Address Book" tab and check the box to show this folder as an email address book. Good luck.

That certainly helped, I can now see my list of contacts. I still get the error message when I go into the address book. When I now click the select name from: select box I get two items called contacts. one of them gives me my contacts, the other gives me the error. When I go into properties I cannot remove this other entry, I can't even move it to the bottom so I get my addresses up by default. Giles Roadnight

Is there more than 1 contacts folder shown under Tools, Services, "Outlook Address Book" properties? If so, can it be deleted from there?
