constantly get JS value

I have a javascript function that fires out a variable, the function fires each time the mouse scroll button is scrolled up and the function also sets a different variable each time the mouse scrolls down. I was hoping, with using flash 5, that it would be possible to constantly get the value of the JS variable, I'm hoping to use this variable within actionscripts.

With 5, you could use rhe Flash methods to pass on the variable to your Flash movie...
After that, it's only a question of setting up a control mc, within your Flash movie, that constantly checks the variable being passed, and does whatever with it in your movie.
