We have been having a lot of issues recently with "ghost" ringback on analog trunks connected to the newest ATM4U and Combo cards. Have tried playing with the gains and impedence to no avaial - except to maybe delay the ghost calls for a few more seconds.
Have a system today with all 6 trunks ringing every few seconds. Four trunks are on a new ATM4U module and 2 on a new Combo card.
In most other recent installs - the issue seems only to affect the main trunk (published phone number) - no matter which port it is plugged into.
This is happening with regular Verizon copper trunks, Verizon FIOS trunks and Cablevision trunks - so it is not specific to a provider.
The only thing in common is the newest analog trunk cards. All systems are in Basic (Partner) mode and using R8.1.67 firmware.
Has anyone been running into this problem? Has anyone opened tickets with Avaya on this issue? I'd love to hear what they had to say - besides pointing the finger at the carrier.
