Console Issues/Questions/Advice

I have added a new console to the system, but date/time is not automatically updating like it should. the year is 1998. My initial thought is that I have missed something in programming. I printed the config of the first console and built the second one in LD 12. I have 2 set TNs and 2 PWR TNs. The reason for the second console is due to an upcoming relocation of the switchboard operator. I cannot use the MOV command because I am moving to a different cabinet entirely. Moving from card 7 to card 22. I cannot move the jumpers because this is a separate building connected via fiber.
Any guidance is welcomed and appreciated!

Does the console work? There is a reset procedure for the console where you press the shift key, then one of the upper keys under the display, then you have to enter the password 9999 then follow the prompts. Are you sure you have the wiring correct. The 1st 2 tns go to w/bl and w/o then the power tn's are a little goofy. Both the tips of the power tn's go to the r/or and both the rings of the power tn's go the the r/gn. There ids also suppose to be a 5th power tn on the w/sl but most never use it.

No, the console does not work. all the keys are lit with arrows. This is part of the reason i suspect i did not program it correctly.

just did the reset procedure, after the reset the console comes up active then IMMEDIATELY goes into night. and the date/time resets to Jan-1-1989 @ 9:00 AM

If it's all lit up then programming isn't your issue. I would suspect wiring is. If you are sure about the wiring then disable the card, unseat and reseat the card then enable it.

i double checked the wiring. I have the first TN terminated to w/bl and second TN on w/or and power on r/or and r/gr. I did flip T and R on TN pairs and nothing changed on console.

Remove the power tn's and see if it comes up. It should depending on distance.

Could the console just be defective?

i guess that is always possible, but it was in service previously. Then unplugged and put into storage. then from storage to its current location. i will try to swap out the console with the one in service to know for sure.
