Can a console( a real 302 console) be a member of a hunt group by using it's main extension number? Or does it require x-ported extensions to be on the console?
And if so, can the other memebers of the hunt group be regular stations.
I don't think this customer has vectoring.
Thanks for your time.

If U use the attendant extension for anything except an attdt calling from one attdt to another, or collecting CAS info, U will run into problems. The most encountered problem is that the console will not ring the attdt if the attdt is on a call. I have heard attendant vectoring is the way to go if U want to get inventive with the attendants, but I haven't used it. Don't even use the attdt console extension for the zero out destination out of voicemail.(even if AVaya sets this up on installs. Avaya wouldn't correct this programing practice when I worked for Avaya. There is no accounting for stupidity.)

P.S. For the best response to a question, read FAQ222-2244. Also give the type & version of your voice mail & pbx & preview your post to make sure it is complete & understandable. Please answer all questions so that I may have the info to assist you. Leaving a post on how you fixed the problem will also be appreciated.

even if you can get this to work, based on xport station and cover with vector or something, you will not have the attendant features available. So i guess there is no solution and orypecos is right. The only option is to change the normal attendant to a station...

Thank you both for your help. We are going to just change to a normal station in an ACD group. I really appreciate your input.
