Client OS: XP SP1
Outlook Version: XP (2002)
Exchange Server: 5.5 Enterprise
I have to log in locally, not to a domain because I am connecting to a customers domain via VPN. I have configured an account for myself on the customers domain with exactly the same username and password as the account I use to log in locally. My Exchange account uses the domain account as it's Primary NT Account. Outlook is configured to work offline with no security thus I get prompted for UserName, Domain and Password everytime I synchronize (as expected and accepted). I fill in the correct details at the password (etc) prompt but Outlook will not connect and I'm given the "password/domain incorrect" error. Checking the NT Event Log shows that my local computer name is passed to NT as the domain and not the domain that I entered!!
This is driving me nuts.....
