Connecting to Office server

I have Windows Xp Home Edition and want to onnect to our server at work to access my files. I am using a dialup connection and was wondering how to set this up?

straight dial-up or vpn?

my network places - properties - new connection wizard...follow along...

SET CRTL ALT DEL = #728

Not sure if it's straight dial-up and vpn?
