Hi all,

I have to connect to an NT 4 box with a new windows XP Pro box what are my options ?

Both have network cards and I have a spare hub.

Do I join the NT machine to XP using TCP/IP
or
Join the XP to the NT machine or doesn't it matter.

I only want to salvage about 400MB of data from the machine.

Any other pitfalls to worry about ??

Use the hub or a crossover cable.
GIve both machines IP addresses in the same ranges with the same subnet mask and duplex settings(autodetect)
Make sure they are in the same work group.
Make sure there are no firewalls running.
Any more information needed let me know.

Don't forget to share the NT drive or folders so you can access them from XP.
