Hi

I am totally confused.
I am trying to create a site to send certain data to a data source. I created a simple database in access for this.

I just can't workout how to make dreamwewver talk to it. I followed all the steps in the book and it don't work.

i am trying to work with coldfusion, but don't understand it. It is just the version that came with dreamweaver mx.

Also how can i check IIS is running properly, as i work within a very strict IT system, and wouldn't surprise me if they had stopped it somehow

can anyone help, as i am about to throw my computer accross the room

thanks

Do you have access to the server that is running IIS? I run it locally on my machine so I can test sites without any network issues then upload. This gives me the knowledge that my code is right even if the server is incorrectly configured.

Yeah, i am running IIS localy too - and now i am pretty certain it is working correctly

I have set the data source to connect to coldfusion, but still don't have a little tick next to it. Now it just opens coldfusion when i click on it. After putting my password in it allows me to the coldfusion administrator - i think i managed to set up a link to my database. it verifys as OK.
But not sure what i put in 'system database file' ???

maybe i should become a plumber !
