Hi,
I need to create a airfare website for a travel agency.
I need the site to connect to the flights db but I don't what kind of laguage I could use and what kind of db I would be connecting to.
I assume it could be done with php.
Any help or information would be very appreciated.
The site will be something like or anything like it.
Thanks,

sbayter

Why in the world would anyone commission such a project when Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia, and Sabre exist?

And to be blunt, you haven't given us the slightest bit of insight into the project.

PHP can do phenominal things in the hands of a skilled programmer. It can make network connections, talk to a myriad of backend database, perform regular expression tests, read/write files, and securely use cookies and sessions.

With a little more research, you will find that this question will answer itself.

Whoever maintains the airfare database is going to give you a limited set of options for accessing the data. You'll just have to match whatever methodology is available.
