Does anyone know what ports need to be opened on a firewall to allow a computer to connect through the firewall to the exchange server? I am trying to connect via Outlook to my exchange server at the office from home, but cannot connect because I dont know which ports to open.

Thanks in advance,

If you are running Exchange 2003 on Windows 2003 and have an XP client you only need port 80 and you can use RPC over HTTP.

Otherwise, you'll need both 25 and 110 as detailed above but that isn't terribly secure...

If you want to use the MAPI client to connect via the internet, ISA is the only firwall that supports "publishing" of Exchange.
