Connecting Routers via serial - no CSU/DSU

I have a 2611 and a 1720.
I am thinking about purchasing two WIC-1T connect both the routers over serial, but as far as I know the WIC-1T does not have an integrated DSU/CSU. From what I know so far, it should work if I configure the same bandwidth on both interfaces. Has anyone tried this before? What were your results?

You will need a back-to-back cable - there are always loads for sale on eBay. One end is DCE whilst the other is DTE. On the DCE end the router must be configured to provide a clock:

interface serial 0
clock rate 64000
