I am running DBA Mfg which uses the Pervasive 2000.SQL 2000i WORKGROUP Engine. The main database is installed on our File server (Using the Pervasive Engine) and my workstation is using the pervasive client. I'm am unable to connect through ODBC. I called the DBA tech support & they told me I can only connect to to Perv through ODBC at the server, not at the workstation. Is there a way to link to the DDF files directly through Access? or any other way to pull data from the pervasive engine..

Any Help or Tips greatly appreciated..

Rob

While I've only worked with the workstation and server versions I would think you should be able to setup a DSN to your data. Once you have your DSN you should be able to link to Access. When you create a system DSN do you have the option for the Pervasive ODBC drivers?

First you said you are using P2000i workgroup engine, and then you go on to say your workstation is using client. If you are using workgroup you should have workgroup engine on all workstations, including server. Then each workstation runs it's engine and client, just different settings for where the data is local, ie server. Then you should be able set up an ODBC link on each workstation that you want one on linking to the ddf files on the server.
