HI I am building my first desktop computer and need to connect a Cd Writer and a DVD Rom to the sound card, I can see where to plug in the Cd drive but then I am left with the sound cable from the DVD rom can you tell me where that plugs into,I would appreciate all advice on this matter.

Thanks Tony [wavey2]

I may be wrong, but I believe that only one of them can be connected at a time.

You have four audio lead connectors on a creative 5.1 card, you need to use the midle two, CD IN and Aux IN, it doesn't matter which way and both can be connected at the same time.
You only need one cable connected to the drive you intend to use for audio playback, usually the DVDrom but it doesn't matter if you use two, also cables are only needed for olders OS versions ie: W98, W98SE, I know the audio flies cables aren't needed for XP not sure about W2K & ME.
