I'm having one hard time getting my Cisco 7940 phones to work with my Dell PowerConnect 5224 switch which is piggy-backed off my Cisco 3524XL switch.

On a Cisco 3524XL, the following works like a champ:

interface FastEthernet0/1
description connection to IP Phone
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk native vlan 3
switchport mode trunk
switchport voice vlan 10
no ip address
spanning-tree portfast

What is the equivalent on the Dell PowerConnect? The phone get's stuck at the "Configuring IP" option. Interestingly enough though, a device plugged into the switch on the back of the phone gets an ip address from vlan 3 (data) but I can't get the phone to get it's IP (from vlan 10).

Help?
