I have (finally!) managed to set up a VPN between a Netgear FVS318 and a single remote client using the IPSec Dial Client, and most things seem to work fine. I can ping our File Server (behind the FVS318), connect to mapped drives etc., but I do not seem to be able to connect to our Interbase server which also resides on the File Server.

I am a virtual novice at this so would appreciate any suggestions / help. Since I have established the VPN successfully, does this mean that everything should work exactly the same as if my remote client were physically connected to the FVS318, or do I need to open up other ports etc. to facilitate particular services like the Interbase server connection?
