Hi,

I have a new machine running SQl Server 2000.

We have an existing database running on SQl Server 7.

I know it *should* be possible to connect from 2000 to 7.

Can anyone give me some suggestions, and how to information? cquick@geotg.com

Open SQL 2k Enterprise Manager right click on SQL Server Group, Select Register New SQL Server and follow it, that should do it AL Almeida

aalmeida, I've tried that. It attempts to connect and Gives us a timeout error. Strange thing is, I can connect to the SQl Server 7 database through SQl Query Analyzer. cquick@callingpost.com
