Connect printers remotely

I have a classroom full of PCs. The teacher wants to control from the teacher's PC the students printing to the laser printer. I think the way I want to do this is to have the PCs disconnected by default from the printer and a script that the teacher runs and it connects all PCs to the printer.

This is where it falls down. Everything I have looked at connects a local PC to a print server and not a remote PC to a remote print server. Is there a way to do this ?

Thanks in advance.

Why don't you have the teacher's PC share the printer, the student PC's connect to that shared printer, and then "pause" the printer ensuring only the teacher has the permission to resume a job?

Alternatively, type "rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /?" at the command line and you will see it allows you to add a printer on a remote machine.

Thanks for your reply. The pausing is an option and is what teachers use at the moment. However, there could potentially be hundreds of unprinted jobs to clear out if the previous teachers have not maintained the print queue. This can be avoided by not having a printer to print to in the first place, and hence my question :)

I have stumbled across the printui util, and am currently investigating this as it seems to do what I want. Thank you for your assistance.
