Connect MAC OSX to 5.5

I cannot seem to get Outlook on a MAC OSX to talk to our 5.5 SP4 server. As i don't really know anything about macs, any help would be appreciated

Outlook 2001 in native mode (OS9) with DNS configured.
Entourage 2004 latest fixup is the only way to do it on OSX only needs IMAP4 and WebDAV so I think that rules out Ex5.5 but I can't recall.
