Hi,
i have a problem with 2 PCs being connected to 2 different networks (so i can't connect them through network cable).
I need to transfer data between them every day(from 2000 Pc to NT PC). I thought the solution to connect them through USB data link cable but i don't know if there will be a problem with the NT PC. All the e-shops i searched, refer to Win98,Me,2000,XP but not to NT. Is there a known problem?

thanx,
Nick

USB and NT do not mix. Almost no chance of getting anything USB to work.

Andy.

Am I right in saying that 2000 and NT both support multiple network cards? If so then you can create a new netwrok for the 2 PC's without affecting the networks they are already on.

Yes, sicohne; and, if a different protocol were used, the other machines should find it almost impossible to traverse the networks.

Andy.

thanks guys,
for the time being i connect them with a crossover cable when i need to transfer data, waiting for the upgrade of NT to 2000.
Nick

yeah sorry about the no USB thing, believe me I have fought it, before I discovered this common knowledge about USB and NT being utterly incompatible. Yup, get another network card in, make sure you have both TCP, filesharing and VirtualPrivateNetworkin(VPN) on in order to 'see' the other computer.
