I trying to read the 2003 overvies but I had a question.

Do i need to buy a cal for every user then multiply that number by then number of servers I have, or need to buy a cal just for the number of clients no matter how many servers i have.

Also, what is considred acessining software??? DHCP, DNS, or stuff like Files or print?

exp.. 150 clients 15 servers
1. 150*15=2250 Cals
2. 150 Cals

Thanks

It depends on if how you license your environment. But because you have multiple servers, you would want to license your environment "per seat" and not "per server".

So, you do NOT need to purchase server licenses but only client CALS.

The answer is that you need to buy 150 CALS...

Another question

If i have 100 cals for windows 200 and bought 50 for windows 2003, or they interchangeable or do I have to 300 cals so all "per Seat" can access both versions??
