T7316e/T7316 phones
MICS 7.0
CP 100 version: 31.10.14.22
This started probably 2 months ago and I originally wrote it off as a buggy phone...
Not sure if this matters but I will include the Extension #'s as I tell the tale. Two months ago, extension 117 was having issues. It had some buttons that wouldnt work and would go through the flashing lights/LED boot at random times even though it was constantly plugged in and then loose programming. After reprogramming a few times and no luck, I replaced the unit and it has been fine ever since. I took the phone to my office and plugged it in my extension and it worked fine the first time. The unit has been sitting in storage since.
A couple days ago, Extension 135 was doing the flashing light/LED and loosing programming. I could sometimes get done reprogramming all the buttons and it work fine for a minute or it would do the "boot" flashing in the middle. Took my known good phone down there it did the same thing. Was thinking wiring between Ext 135 and Blocks so I took my phone and hard wired into the blocks and it worked fine, reprogrammed the buttons and let it sit all night, came back in the morning and it was still good. So I went back to the building Ext 135 is wired and plugged in my known good phone and it was working fine..... Then I plugged in the old phone and it was working fine..... Has been working fine since then....
Yesterday, ext 129 would display time but when you picked up the phone, no dial tone and pushing the buttons to the right did nothing and pushing the numeric buttons made tones but nothing happened. Unplugged it and let it sit for a minute and plugged it back in, works fine......
Today, Ext 119 did the same thing as above but when I plugged my known good phone in it worked fine. So I grabbed the original phone from Ext 117(at the top of this post) and plugged it in, has been working fine for an hour....
Are these events related? We have a total of, I think, 32 Extensions. The only correlation I possibly see is that they are all on EXT 117 and higher. Does that mean the card controlling them is going out? Is there multiple cards that would be in our small system? Is it just a "dirty" power situations because we have not the cleanest incoming power? Am I going to be experiencing a total system failure? What can I test because everything else works fine including all other high Extensions, mine included.
