confirmation tone for paging

Is there a way on to get a tone on my phone when paging. I have paging setup as a short code, but i would like to know when to talk. I have users speaking before it's time and the page gets cut off.

It does Beep in the handset/audio path when it is time to speak, if you are doing it via speakerphone the feedbck cancellation often cuts it out

I don't hear it either way. Any ideas on why I'm not hearing it or is there another way to make it happen?

Is this paging as in over the handsets attached to the system "Dial Paging" if so what handsets, or is it onto an overhead system connected to the IP office, if overhead it would be down to the paging device to give a connection tone I would imagine

This is overhead paging. I will check settings on page unit to see.

Depending on your external page equipmentis connected, you may have it available. If there is a Bogen TAMB unit as an interface (used often by Avaya) there is a confirmation-tone that can be enabled in that (TAMB) interface.
