We have 2 sites

Site 1 - EE1 and EE2

Site 2 EE3

I've checked all the configurations for all the sites, servers, and mailboxes to see if POP3 was enabled. Yes they are enableb.

I use the microsoft KB 165186 to check the connectivity I am getting

TELNET EE2 110 it works fine. I get OK Microsoft Exchange POP3 Server 5.5 Ready.

But when I type the rest of the testing I got
ERR PROTOCOL ERROR

When I configure my Outlook Express to connect to POP3. It won't connect then when I click cancel, It will give me the following message.

There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: test, Server: '192.168.2.25', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR There is no such mailbox on this server', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

I tried this to each or the exchange server but end up with the same error.

By the way I am doing all the testing in our internal network not through the internet.

Anybody who can direct me to figure it out I really appreciate.

Thank you all

I suggest using VPN rather than POP3 with your Exchange server. Are you willing to have your usuers authenticate their domain accounts in clear text over WAN?
