Configuring DNS

Help

I have two sites with a network range of 192.168.98.* and the other 192.168.97.*. Currently I have a Linux box running our dsn but the hard drive is about to fails so I have brought a new compaq rack. I have installed the dns server on this (NT4.0) but I am unsure as to how to configure it?? I have downloaded the mircosoft guide and its seems to work but I am getting DNS request time out errors and the Server: UnKnown ?

The server is non authoritive and only has listings of the internal domain names / intranet etc

Restart the DNS service, any errors in the event viewer? If so, could you post the details?
What happens when you run an nslookup from a client? Error? What if you run it on the dns server itself? Error again? ________________________________________
