I have two Cisco 1811 Routers I'm trying to establish a site-site vpn (new routers).

Q. They get a public ip by the isp via dhcp, will the 1811 support this?

The routers can be set to update the address through a third party ddns service. But this hasn't worked either. Plus posts i've read said this feature is hokey to get working.

I my best solution is to get static ip's?

Thank you for any insight.

Static is definitely the way to go. You should have both as static, but having just one static will work. The tunnel will be initiated by the side with DHCP.
