Is there a way to configure IE6 so that search results appear in a separate pane on the left? Then when a link is selected, the page is displayed in the right pane.
The search companion starts off along those lines -- if you click on "Search" on the toolbar it opens a pane on the left to enter searches -- but it puts the search results in the main pane rather than in the same left hand pane. It's possible that there is a 3rd partly plugin installed that I don't know about.
THe problem is that I am upgrading a user from WinMe to XP Pro. We are doing a fresh install. The ONE thing that they want to have is this search behavior which they currently have in ie5. The search engine is Searchalot but I investigated their site and it does not appear to be a plugin that they provide.
Any help or suggestions, 3rd party software, etc, would be appreciated. Thanks!
Dean
