Hello,

I need help!!

I have S8710/G650 with a MM711 module. How do I configure one of the ports on the MM711 for a analogue phone? Could you tell me the exact commands to run?

Here is some info that may help.....

'add station next' (or the extension number you want to use).
put in the model of analog set that you have or the generic model 2500.
for the port, put in one of the available analog ports on your MM711 (001V201, 001V202, 001V203... up to 001V206 or 002V205 in the second media gateway.

Thanks PBXtech that worked a treat! Only issue I now have is that I have to dial a 9 to get out. Is there a way to remove this requirement? Also when i called my cell phone i do not see the correct caller ID. Any ideas?

do you have to dial 9 on the other extension in your organization? your caller-id might be restricted in the PBX or with your provider.

Yes we do have a few phones that do not require a 9 to dial out. These are mostly conference rooms or fax machines.

I think the pbx is blocking the caller ID but i dont know where to check.

Thanks in advance!

Activate a "hot-line". This ties to your abbreviated dialing system list. You should already have an entry that only dials 9. When the analog phone goes off-hook the switch enters the 9 for the user.

What caller ID is sent is on the "change public-unkown-numbering form. The caller ID is also enabled / disabled on trunk group and station forms. You can do a "list trace station xxxx" and "list trace tac xxx" (tac is trunk access code) to see if the PBX is sending a caller ID. If it is not, then the carrier is sending the BTN of the circuit as the default.

Thanks Jordy and Wallot!! You guys gave me some awesome info. I'll look into this today.
