Hi,
I don't know how to solve this:
I have a phone with a coverage path that jumps to his secretary phone If he's busy or not answering. She wants that -in case that she cannot answer- the next jump to be her Audix, not his.
Anyone can help me with this? I'm new at this, and I really don't know what to do...
Thanks!!!

Hello
You need to add his extension into her mailbox as a secondary extension and turn off the fax capabilities
in the audix and this should work .If you do not turn off the fax capabilities when the call is answered you will get a message saying this is the fax extension for this mailbox
Tony

If that does not work, here is another method. Make his second coverage point a VDN, point it to a Vector with the line: messaging split XX for extension YYYY, where XX is the Audix hunt group & YYYY is her extension.

What does the secretary's coverage path look like? If it goes right to voice mail as the first cover point all you have to do is set the bosses cover path to secretary's ext. (point1) and don't add any other points after that. The call will first go to your boss then to his secretary then to her voice mail...

How do I add his extension into her mailbox as a secondary extension?

In the audix mailbox setup there is a spot to put the secondary ext.

Tina, thats a good one I didn't know that, just tested it though.

Only drawback with that would be the boss would not have his own vm box, she would have to handle everything.

oops, sorry I typed Tina, but meant Tony on that last post.

sorry, but I see only this:

Name: Locked?n
Extension: Password:
COS:class00 Miscellaneous:
Switch number: 1 Covering extension:
Community ID:1 Broadcaste mailbox?:n

I do not see secondary mailbox option :(

The secondary ext would be right under the community id.

It shows up on intuity audix systems with the fax messaging
feature. I suspect this is not how yours is set up.

My audix doesn't have a secondary option either. Never tried to put 2 voice mails in the coverage path possibly a way to vector it (don't know). Guess all of his calls have to go to either her voice mail or his, couldn't split em up. Maybe he would want a call forward button on his phone that would go to his voice mail when he chose to? Some of our v.p.'s have this option. They also use it when the secretary is gone and they don't want to have the phone ring before it goes to hers....but if he wants all of his calls to go to her voice mail then the coverage path to her then from her to her voice mail is the way to go...

The next step is only her extension, but never goes to her Audix.....any other suggestions?

Change her coverage path to point1 = hxx (your voice mail hunt group number). She would need this change anyway if her calls are to go to her voice mail. Then direct her bosses coverage path to point1 = secretary's ext. # and stop there. This way the call goes to the boss first, then after so many rings (you can change this also) to the secretary then to her voice mail.

Hello,

I am trying to divide my audix systems into two different systems because I would like to be able to send out broadcast messages to the two separate communities. I heard you can set up two different communities but I am not sure how to test them when I send a broadcast message, I would hate to create confusion across campus. If anyone has any words of wisdom for me that would be great. Thanks and I will look forward to hearing from anyone.

John
